About Soul Work Osteopathy

Personalized, Whole-Body Osteopathy

Why Soul Work?

Honestly, the name chose us

We’ve spent most of our lives learning about the body and how it works, but the truth is, we’ve also lived a lot of what we treat. We’ve gone through pain, stress, relationship ups and downs, car accidents, concussions, childbirth, and all the messy in-betweens. Each of those experiences gave us something we couldn’t have learned from a textbook.

That’s why this work feels so personal. When we sit with someone, we’re not just bringing training or techniques. We’re bringing everything we’ve lived and everything we’ve learned along the way.

For us, this isn’t just a career. It’s the thing we’re meant to be doing.

It’s our soul work.

Our Approach

Osteopathy isn’t just about easing pain where it hurts.

It’s about listening to the whole body and understanding how everything connects. Sometimes an old scar, a past injury, or even stored stress from your own birth can keep the body from healing fully. Our role is to uncover those patterns, release what’s stuck, and support your body as it finds its way back to balance.

This is not an intimidating, rushed environment. Our practice is quiet and welcoming. It is a place where you can feel safe, unhurried, and cared for. Every session is personal, responsive, and rooted in respect for where you’re at.

For us, this is more than a profession. It’s our Soul Work.

Lisa Woods

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

My work is gentle and attentive. I often support newborns easing into the world, people recovering from concussions, or those carrying trauma in the body. Cranial sacral therapy is a big part of my approach as it allows me to work with the nervous system in subtle ways, helping the body unwind at its own pace.

During my studies, I was awarded the W.G. Sutherland Thesis Award for my research on osteopathy and growing pains in children. Before becoming an osteopath, I worked for years as a massage therapist, which gave me a strong foundation in hands-on care.

What matters most to me is creating a safe, calm space where people of all ages feel held and supported as their body does the work of healing.

Ben Woods

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

My approach is often more direct and structural. I help people with scar tissue, stubborn pain, injuries, and conditions that haven’t improved with other care. I look for what’s underneath to find how the body’s systems are working together, and what’s getting in the way of healing.

Like Lisa, I completed advanced craniosacral training, which allows me to support people gently when needed. My path has also included years as a massage therapist, clinic owner, husband, and father, and all of these experiences shape how I connect with the people I care for.

I practice with honesty and integrity, and I always aim to empower people with knowledge about their own bodies. Healing is easier when you understand what’s happening and why.
